THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION
Call for officer peers and associates with experience of IT, digital and cyber security to provide advice and support to local councils
This is a call for local government IT, digital and cyber security officer peers and associates - currently working or recently retired from a role in a council - who would be available to provide support (when requested) to councils on IT, digital and cyber security programmes.
As part of the LGA's wider work to help councils improve, the LGA receives requests from time to time from councils to assist them with their IT, digital and cyber security work.
To support these requests where appropriate, the LGA does provide funding directly to individual councils under our productivity experts programme and when requested, we sign-post to suitable officer peers and associates that they can then talk to, to see if they might be able to help.
We are therefore looking for officers and associates (currently working, self-employed or recently retired (12 to 18 months from September 2017) with suitable expertise to act as a peer / associate to help those councils who ask for this support.
This expression of interest is to assess market engagement, to source potential providers and judge interest from potential suppliers.
Please note that this process is only being carried out as a means to understanding the level of interest in providing these services and is not a Pre-Qualification Process or a procurement.
Please submit your details by 5.00pm on Monday 16th October 2017, please keep to two sides of A4 (font size no smaller than 11 point) and please send to productivity@local.gov.uk
