The brief

Framework Agreement to undertake Ground Stabilisation Works by Drilling and Grouting.

The Framework comprises of the provision of: • Initial site set-up / Erection of site compound / Welfare facilities • Vertical and/or inclined Rotary open hole drilling using hand held or mobile equipment • Probe drilling to locate and investigate abandoned mineshafts, adits and old workings and to prove the depth, nature and condition of associated ground • Stabilisation of shallow mine workings, mine shafts, and other weak ground by grout injection / resin foam applications • Stabilisation of mineshafts or adits by grout injection • Drilling to ventilate old mine workings • Mine gas investigation, monitoring and recording • Dealing with instances associated with spontaneous combustion • Drilling of monitoring boreholes Located throughout the UK’s coalfield areas, split across 9 Regions.

Tenderers are required to clearly identify the regions that its tender relates.

The Authority will award based on the award criteria specified within the tender documents whilst ensuring that it has the required regional coverage.

The Framework may also be used to undertake works and services not related to coal mining, and these projects may fall outside the coalfield regions.

The Authority will look to obtain quotations for works outside the 9 Regions on a price incentivized Work Package basis.
