The brief

WDH is a housing association formed in March 2005 and is a not for profit organisation with charitable status and regulated by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

WDH owns and manages over 32,000 properties which are divided into three management areas and provide homes for families, elderly, single and vulnerable people.

WDH is carrying out external re-pointing work to a wide variety of property types as part of the on going planned maintenance work to its extensive stock portfolio.

For the purpose of this tender exercise WDH invites tenders from experienced pointing contractors to work alongside and under the direction of WDH’s own Improvements Team.

The works will involve working on individual properties within larger schemes, generally below one hundred properties where the contractor will be asked to work on WDH’s programme carrying out some of the works to some of the properties.

Contractors will be expected to be flexible to meet changes to the programme both in terms of their allocated work programme and any changes to the actual programme time scale.

Schemes will be in different locations across the geographical area of the Wakefield district.

At the conclusion of this tender exercise a framework of three approved contractors will be established.

Closing date for requests to participate is 12 noon Monday 14 March 2016.

Closing date for requests for clarifications 12 noon Thursday 17 March 2016.

Closing date for receipt of bids is 12 noon Monday 4 April 2016.
