GB-London: Tate Gallery - High Value Digital Asset (HVDA) Storage
This is a large award for IT Services — above three-quarters of comparable contracts. Based on 36,449 valued IT Services tenders in our corpus.
NOTE: This notice was updated on 08 August 2019 for the following reason: Amending the deadline for responses to 19/08/2019 at 12:00.(Tate has 6 sites, comprising 4 galleries and 2 storage facilities, which holds the national collection of British art from 1 500 to the present day and international modern and contemporary art, along with an extensive library, archive and public records collection.
Tate's mission is to promote the public understanding and enjoyment of these works and artefacts.
Tate's digitised collection is stored on an existing infrastructure, which facilitates the management, preservation and access to these works.
It is this storage which requires upgrading and replacing due to the age of the existing hardware.
As such, there is a requirement for a storage hardware solution that will ensure the long-term preservation and integrity of these digital files.
The solution must be scalable as Tate has a large volume of digital assets that will need to be migrated into this storage solution, as well as an increasing volume of digital assets being created and acquired.
Any hardware solution must work with Tate's existing software solutions.
This High Value Digital Asset (HVDA) Storage forms the basis of this tender.)
