Reopening Stratford upon Avon to Honeybourne Worcester/Oxford (SWO) Railway Line Commission of a Strategic Outline Business Case

Wychavon District Council, wishes to commission a Strategic Outline Business Case (SOBC) for the restoration of passenger rail services, between Stratford-upon-Avon station to Worcester and Oxford via Honeybourne Junctions on the Worcester-Oxford, North Cotswold Line, including extensions of existing Birmingham services, south of Stratford to Long Marston/Honeybourne, as a heavy rail through route, as part of the national rail network.

The SOBC is the first of three stages in business case development and focussing on the strategic case and the economic case.

The deadline for the business case is June 2021.

Please see the procurement documents for further information The Council are using the e-procurement portal known as the Proactis Pro-Contract portal https://procontract.due-north.com to conduct this procurement exercise.

To gain access to the procurement documents, contractors will need to register their company details at the above website (there is no charge for this).

Once registered, contractors will be emailed a log-in and password which will allow them to gain access to the procurement documents.

Contractors will need to search for the invitation under Wychavon District Council and then electronically submit an expression of interest and follow the online instructions to view the procurement documents.
