The brief

We require a rigid, self-contained hypoxic chamber for the preparation and storage of cells at varying concentrations of oxygen and controlled temperatures and humidity.

The Hypoxic Chamber must be capable of generating and maintaining an atmosphere from 0.1% to 20% O2 and 0.1% to 15% CO2.

These levels of gas must be controlled from an external display screen and available in 0.1% increments.

The system must provide sufficient gas mixing and contain O2 sensors which are easy to maintain and calibrate and include a HEPA filter system.

There needs to be a minimum of 80% N2.

The system must also provide temperature and humidity control from the display screen, for which we require temperatures up to 45°C and humidity >80%.

The chamber must offer sufficient space for complex user operations associated will cell culture experimental set up, have at least two equally spaced cuffed gloves and internal locked doors.

A right-hand side external port must be included and large enough to transfer cells/media and consumables in and out of the chamber.

This must be air-locked and allow for fast cycling times.

The adjustable height of the system is required (due to a very large range in the heights of the users) and the buyers who can provide this will be favoured.

The entire system, plus space for cylinders, must not exceed 1800 x 800 x 750 mm (W x D x H).
