English Heritage Trust wishes to re-tender the measured term contracts for a) building maintenance services and b) mechanical & electrical maintenance services for parts of its estate of historic sites, associated buildings and offices.
English Heritage Trust manages over 400 historic properties across England as well as offices and stores.
The sites have a mix of both historic and non-historic assets and some hold collections of significant value and of historic importance.
Some may be in remote areas and may be difficult to access.
They vary significantly in size, complexity, geographical location and type ranging from furnished historic houses, ruined castles and abbeys to prehistoric and Roman remains, industrial sites, gardens and statues.
Almost all are protected as scheduled ancient monuments and /or listed buildings, registered historic gardens, conservation areas.
A few are World Heritage Sites.
English Heritage Trust conserves and maintains these properties for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
This Tender covers London and the East of England and is broken down into Lots as follows: Northants & Rutland, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire Lot 7A B&CE £433,000 Norfolk & Suffolk Lot 8A B&CE £374,000 Cambridge & Essex Lot 9A B&CE £665,000 Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Lot 10A B&CE £750,000 London North Lot 19A B&CE £1,368,000 London South Lot 20A B&CE £613,000 Northants & Rutland, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire Lot 7B M&E £510,000 Norfolk & Suffolk Lot 8B M&E £195,000 Cambridge & Essex Lot 9B M&E £270,000 Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Lot 10B M&E £225,000 London North Lot 19B M&E £782,000 London South Lot 20B M&E £382,000 The tender will be a two stage tender with an envisaged 5 suppliers being taken through to the ITT stage for each Lot based on their response to the initial Pre-Qualification (PQQ) exercise.
