The brief

A Bidders Information Day will be hosted by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust (\"the Trust\") on Monday, 26th February 2018 from 13:00 to 15:00 in the Maple Room, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, Pinewood House, Pinewood Place, Dartford, Kent DA2 7WG.

The Trust will shortly be seeking to obtain expressions of interest from the market to undertake the full end to end delivery of the Soft Facilities Management Services across the Estate.

Services are likely to include; • Cleaning (including window cleaning and peripheral services, e.g., emergency response as required and deep cleaning); • Catering - Patient feeding (mainly cook-freeze); • Catering - Retail; • Porter services (mobile and site based); • Linen and laundry; • Domestic services including housekeeping; • Reception services; • Central services (Telephony; Switchboard; Help desk) • Post room services; • Courier services; • Pest control; • Security (site and mobile patrol) issuing of access cards; • Waste management (clinical waste, black bag waste, recycling, pharmaceutical waste and feminine hygiene); • Curtain/ blinds cleaning; • Car parking services; • Receipt and Distribution; • Grounds and Gardens.

Kindly note - the services listed above are not exhaustive and additional services might be required and indeed some services might be excluded - to be confirmed in the tender documents.

Services are likely to extend across the smaller Mental Health satellite sites in SE London, Queen Mary's in Sidcup, some services at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich.

It is anticipated that there will be vested principles applied to this contract, which will look at innovative models to deliver and improve the quality of services and reward mechanisms.

The expected annual value of the contract is expected to be in the region of £8m per annum, with a contract value over the 5 year term of £40m, with options to extend for 2 further years.

It is anticipated that the OJEU notice and tender documents will be issued in March 2018, with the procurement process concluded by end of August 2018 to allow sufficient time for mobilisation of this contract, with an intended go live date of 1st of April 2019.

Kindly note, that a previous Prior information Notice (PIN) was issued in September 2017, however this notice has been withdrawn and superseded by this Market Engagement Event.

The Trust will be holding a bidders day on the 26th February 2018 to answer questions about the process.
