The contract is for the delivery of a range of mental health services within the County of Staffordshire based on the recovery approach and social inclusion principles taking a whole systems approach within the community.
The aims of the Services are: (1) To support people with mental health needs to achieve person centred Recovery through the provision of one to one direct support; structured programmes of interventions/activities; and peer support groups/networks (2) to help people with mental health needs in the County of Staffordshire to live independently, work, study, and follow leisure pursuits alongside their fellow citizens; (3) to provide high quality and flexible support to Service Users that maximises each individual Service User’s recovery from mental illness and minimises the disabling effects of mental illness; (4) to develop a model of support that will help Service Users to live more independently within the wider community and access vocational training and other Universal Services on offer in the County of Staffordshire. (5) to ensure that, whenever possible, people with mental health needs get the help, advice or opportunities they are seeking from Universal Services; (6) to provide a person-centred service, and recognise the need for all organisations to work in partnership with Service Users in a holistic and inclusive manner, to give hope and facilitate recovery. (7) to work with individuals on the basis of ogoal setting and achievement of outcomes.
