The brief

***ADVERT IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY*** Birmingham and Solihull CCG and Sandwell & West Birmingham CCG are holding a market engagement event for a Dementia Navigator Service.

The service will provide Dementia advisors and support workers for people suffering with Dementia across the Birmingham footprint of the participating CCGs.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Sandwell and Solihull areas will not be included in this procurement.

The service will provide timely information, advice and support to individuals and their families, friends or carers throughout their journey with dementia, enabling them to live well as long as possible.

This will include people who are worried about their memory, individuals newly diagnosed and those who have been living with dementia for some time but who could benefit from support.

In addition to the Dementia Navigator Service, the CCGs will be looking to procure a Dementia Cafe service.

Carers will usually attend Dementia and Activity Cafes as well as people with dementia and for many people with dementia and their carers they provide valuable social opportunities, access to specialist information and advice, and peer support as well as respite for carers.

The market engagement event will look to provide information on the service and to seek feedback from the market regarding the service specification, including the opportunity for organisations to raise questions with Commissioners regarding how they envisage the service being shaped going forward.

The event will also offer the opportunity for interested parties to be briefed on the proposed procurement vehicle.

In particular, Commissioners are keen to hear from the market as to whether they feel the Dementia navigator and Dementia Cafe service should be procured together as a single service, under a single procurement vehicle in lots or as two separate procurements.

The event will also allow providers to gain insight into what is expected from them in preparing a tender.

The market engagement event will be held on 8th June between 10am and 12 noon.

Details of the venue can be found when booking a place at the event via Eventbrite by following this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dementia-navigator-service-market-engagement-tickets-43095067507.
