NHS North Lincolnshire CCG is seeking the provision of a Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service.
The successful provider is expected to deliver a flexible, high quality patient focused service which is safe, clinically effective and represents best value.
Specifically the local outcomes include: - Patients will arrive and depart safely and in a timely manner; - There will be no detriment to the patient's health and wellbeing during their journey; - Provide a patient focused booking system; - Apply the eligibility criteria and local NEPTS decision making tool (Appendix B) in a consistent and equitable manner; - Provide high quality information to patients enquiring about NEPTS and signposting those who are not eligible to appropriate local alternatives; - Provide an integrated NEPTS which supports: ¬ Planned and frequent journeys for Priority Patients; ¬ Discharge from hospital; ¬ Short notice urgent journeys; ¬ Planned routine journeys. - Provide high quality patient experience and satisfaction; - High level of satisfaction within primary and acute care providers - The Provider must take action to reduce carbon emissions and the carbon footprint of the journeys where possible.
Contract period is three years, with the option to extend by two years (3+2).
The contract end date and value excluding VAT is based on a total period of the five year contract, should the option to extend be exercised.
The CCG requires a new service to commence on 7 March 2020.
The CCG is therefore seeking a provider who demonstrates they are able to mobilise the service and commence service delivery in time for the contract start date.
The CCG will be adopting an accelerated procedure for this procurement in line with regulation 27 (5) of PCR 2015 on this basis.
