The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") invites Tenders from suitably qualified suppliers ("Potential Suppliers") for the provision of Highways Capital Improvement Schemes - Project Management.
The Authority requires support led by an individual Consultant over a period of 12 months, with the option to extend this period for up to a further 12 months at the sole discretion of the Authority.
The number of days worked will vary depending on the nature of the project portfolio at the time.
The Service Provider will be responsible for project managing all future capital schemes likely to be promoted by the Authority during the contract term; the Service Provider will report to the Strategic Manager for Highways and Transport and will be embedded within the Highways Team (CMT).
The Service Provider will be initially responsible for the management and delivery of the St Mary's Roundabout Improvement Scheme.
In addition, he/she will also be responsible for progressing several schemes that are either being currently designed or being considered for feasibility studies.
At present possible additional schemes may include improving Ryde Station interchange, further junction improvements at Newport, a new Medina Crossing and several highway improvements associated with regeneration schemes.
The term of the contract shall be 1 May 2019 until 30 April 2020 with the option to extend for up to a further 12 months at the sole discretion of the Authority.
