Supply of Complementary Therapy Services - UL/Q1595

Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is jointly funding this service with the Musgrove Leukaemic Group MLGS Somerset.

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Complementary Therapist to provide a high quality evidence-based complementary therapy service for patients with cancer.

The Trust wishes to offer patients the opportunity to sample a complementary therapy, to enable them to cope better with the symptoms of their disease, both physiologically and psychologically.

It is anticipated that the therapist will offer a 'taster session' to outpatients at The Beacon Centre and should the patients wish to pursue this therapy, they will make their own arrangements either with the therapist, or another of their choosing.

In addition, the Authority wises to offer complementary therapy treatments to Haematology inpatients.

We may also be expanding the service to include paediatric oncology inpatients and the Authority reserves the option to include this within the contract at a later date.

The Authority wishes to provide Aromatherapy (using massage technique) and Reflexology for outpatients and Aromatherapy (using massage technique) for Haematology inpatients.
