The brief

An integral part of the Trust's ambition to continue to deliver first class services is an integrated Electronic Patient Record (EPR).

The Trust has already completed digitisation of most clinical services through extensive use of its current EPR and continues to make further gains as a national digital exemplar.

The Trust now wishes to explore options concerning the long-term strategy for the EPR; this includes continuation and optimisation of its current digital systems, and the opportunity for procurement and implementation of a new EPR.

To this end the Trust wishes to procure a set of EPR consultancy services in order to support the delivery of the following artefacts consistent with HMRC Green Book in order to fully explore the options available for the EPR: 1.

Strategic Outline Case (SOC) 2.

Outline Business Case (OBC) 3.

Outline Business Specification (OBS) 4.

Full Business Case (FBC) The Trust has an immediate requirement for external support in the delivery of the next phases of the EPR.

The support will require a specialist consultancy with a proven track record of providing high-quality EPR consultancy services, with specific expertise in EPR market knowledge, stakeholder engagement, EPR requirements elicitation and definition, EPR market knowledge, public sector procurement, EPR procurement and EPR business case development.

This will ensure the selection of an EPR solution aligns with the Trust's overall strategic objectives within the context of the complex and ever changing NHS provider landscape.
