The brief

The contract is to carry out the search aspect of Explosive Ordnance Clearance (EOC), as well as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) where any ordnance is detected, either by destruction in situ or removal from site.

This will involve working alongside excavator operators to sweep any area marked down for peat dam installation prior to excavation.

Access to the Danger Area is limited to non-firing days.

As this is a live firing range, sweeping the restoration areas will need to be carried out after each 'live' firing event, even if an area was previously swept but no work carried out.

Any ordnance found on site will need to be stored securely until removed or made safe.

The Certifying Free from Explosives (CFFE) process will also need to be carried out.

At Murton Fell Peatland Restoration Site.\r \r The documents must be downloaded from www.nepo.org and insert reference DN 718922 within the supplier area.
