The brief

The University wishes to deploy a High Performance Computing (HPC) service to support its research and teaching requirements.

The University will engage with a Seller to provide a solution to meet its HPC service requirements.

The University HPC service will be deployed at the University's off-site data centre; Sellers should carefully note the physical and environmental constraints of this hosting facility noted in MR41 in Section 3 of the Invitation to Tender document. .

The budget for this project, based on whole-life costs (as noted in the award criteria, but excluding energy) is £1.5M inclusive of VAT.

This opportunity is being advertised to Framework for Servers, Storage and Solutions National Agreement (SSSNA) Ref 2016/2, Lot 3(b) (OEM Solutions for HPC or DIC).
