The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead
Berkshire Transforming Care Partnership (TCP) Supported Accommodation Services
The Berkshire Transforming Care Partnership (TCP) is holding a market engagement event on Thursday September 19th 2019.
The TCP in Berkshire is seeking provider input to inform and shape approaches to developing the supported accommodation services required.
The intention is to gather information and engage with providers, to understand the options available to the TCP, so that when they go to the market with a formal procurement exercise we can ensure that providers understand our requirements and can meet our needs.
The engagement event will also provide the market with an overview of the scale and type of complex needs we are planning to meet over the coming months and years, across Berkshire.
In Berkshire, the Transforming Care partners recognise that to meet the needs of the small number of people with the most complex needs, it will be necessary to work together to secure the Berkshire Transforming Care Partnership (representing the six councils of Bracknell Forest, Reading, Slough, West Berkshire, Windsor & Maidenhead, and Wokingham, and the two Clinical Commissioning Groups of East Berkshire and West Berkshire).
Therefore, we are inviting providers to participate in an early market engagement event to discuss approaches to developing supported accommodation for adults with a learning disability and/or autism, who have challenging behaviour.
The services will be for people who are being discharged from inpatient hospitals, or who require skilled support in the community to prevent admission.
Interested organisations are invited to a market engagement event being held from 13:15 to 16:30 on Thursday 19th September 2019 at The Oakwood Centre, Headley Road, Woodley, Reading, RG5 4JZ.
Please register your interest by emailing procurement@rbwm.gov.uk, providing the following: Organisation name, Name/s of attendees and Contact details (email and telephone number).
Depending on the scale of responses places may be restricted to one person per organisation.
If this is the case, we will notify you before the event.
Providers of support with limited experience of supporting people who have a learning disability and/or autism and behaviour that poses a significant challenge are unlikely to find this event relevant.
If you have any queries about this event please email procurement@rbwm.gov.uk, we will coordinate a response for you.
