This work built on the previous contract and other relevant research.

In particular, the new project seeks to produce the following key deliverables: — Inventory data and completed Common Reporting Format (CRF) tables provided for the years, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 by 15 November (for emissions estimates) and 15 February (for projections) each year to meet national and international obligations including data disaggregated by the constituent countries of the UK, relevant Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies according to the requirements of UK, EU and international reporting, — Final data accompanied by suitable descriptive material for inclusion in the UK National Inventory Report (NIR) as set out in UNFCCC Decision FCCC/SBSTA/2004/8 or updated decisions as agreed by UNFCCC, — Inventory data quantifying the contribution of LULUCF to the UK carbon budgets for the years covered by the work, — Updated projections of LULUCF emissions etc Description of the modifications Contract varied as follows: Variation 1: extended by 3 months (1/6/15-31/8/15) £106,034 Variation 2: extended by 13 months (1/9/15-30/9/16) £372,918 All costs presented below refer to the contract extension period, and are in additi Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor: The original contract allowed for a 3 month extension until 31/8/15.

Further work of a unique nature was required for a further 13 months.

It is planned that this contract will be rolled into a larger contract expected to be awarded via open competition in October 2016, making this contract less viable/attractive for other operators due to the steep learning curve in a short period of time.
