The brief

Sport England is seeking quotations for a supplier to undertake advanced multi-variate analysis of the first set of Active Lives Children and Young People Survey data to answer the research question: What relationships are there between different attitudes towards sport and physical activity amongst children and how do these impact on their reported activity levels?

To determine this, we are seeking to understand the interaction between the many factors that influence a child's sport and physical activity behaviours with the goal of understanding the relationship between the different elements of the various attitudes towards sport and physical activity with each other and behaviours (engagement in sport and physical activity) and outcomes (mental wellbeing, individual development and social and community development).

Furthermore, we wish to position this analysis within current thinking on this topic.

This analysis is a key component of one of the major work priorities for Sport England and the findings will shape our thinking and direction over the remaining strategy period and beyond.

The project has an anticipated value of £15,000 - £22,000 (excluding VAT).
