The brief

This Framework Contract will ensure availability of skilled Contractors to deliver the Planned Service requiring differing values and complexities as required for the Framework Contract.

Successfully awarded Contractors will be required to work together with North Tyneside Council (the Authority) to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract.

The main areas of activity may comprise of, but not exclusively be limited to planned investment works to be completed in ether of the Lots for Operational, schools, commercial and any other properties owned by the Authority or its subsidiaries which may also include properties for sale which will require differing values and complexities as required for each Call Off (Mini Competition) refer to the Scope of Works for the detailed requirements.

It is anticipated the Contract will commence on 01/03/2025 with an initial duration of 24 months with the option to extend for a further two up to twelve month periods which will be at the sole discretion of the Authority.

Ranked 1 Tenderer will be awarded the Works for the first year, after which a mini competition will be carried out annually between the successful Contractors which may result in re-ranking of suppliers.

The Successfully awarded Contractors will be required to work together with North Tyneside Council (the Authority) to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract.

The Framework consists of the following 3 Lots and a maximum of 3 Contractors will be appointed on each Lot.

There is no limit to the number of Lots you can bid for, where you are unable to provide a price for a product, the Authority will apply the highest price submitted from all bids submitted.

The Lots are as follows: Lot 1 - Fire Alarms and Fire Fighting Equipment - Value estimated at £75,000 per annum Lot 2 - Intruder Alarms - estimated value at £75,000 per annum Lot 3 - Full Service (incorporating Lot 1 and Lot 2) The Authority intends to make an informed decision based on the most suitable option either awarding Lots 1 (Fire Alarms and Fire Fighting Equipment) and Lot 2 (Intruder Alarms) or awarding only Lot 3 (Full Service) should the most suitable option be Lot 3 as above.

The Authority believes there may be savings to be made as a result of all services operating on one monitoring line, reducing the initial set up costs and the ongoing annual service charge.

It is advised to complete the responses for both Lot 1 and 2 if your submitting a response for Lot 3 in case the Authority decides on awarding Lot 1 and 2 separately rather than Jointly as Lot 3.
