The services will provide the look-up capability to discover metadata about IP addresses to assist the BBC in protecting content on its online services, targeting its online products including BBC iPlayer, and for other related purposes.
The services will be fit-for-purpose and cost-effective with unlimited capability at a fixed price.
If a software application is relevant, the BBC is open to procuring a perpetual licence.
The supplier must show that its services are being used successfully by broadcast/media customers for content protection and targeting in consumer products comparable to BBC iPlayer.
The services should provide a smooth and timely transition from the BBC’s existing supplier.
