The primary aim of this service is to improve access to primary care appointments for Canterbury and Coastal CCG patients.
By so doing the CCG should be able to reduce the demand for urgent out of hours primary care services.
This will increase the capacity of the GP out of hours provider to enable it to more effectively manage urgent demands which can be met by a primary care clinician.
