The brief

Royal Berkshire Fire Authority "the Authority" is seeking to award a contract for the construction of a new Fire Station at Theale, Reading.

This tender is for the appointment of a main contractor to manage the construction and remediation works required to build the new fire station at the site, including managing the required ground remediation works.

The Authority has recently carried out a tender for the remediation works and identified a remediation contractor and agreed price for this part of the project.

The appointed main contractor will therefore be required to take on this supplier as a listed domestic sub-contractor.

The main contractor will be responsible for the appointment of any other sub contractors required to deliver the construction of the fire station.

The tender is being run as a two stage tender and suitably experienced organisations are invited to complete the SSQ / PAS91 included in this tender pack.

The Authority intends to shortlist six suppliers to tender for this project.

The successful supplier will need to be able to commence mobilisation in February 2020 and the complete construction of the fire station by July 2021.

This tender pack includes all the supporting information.

The final bill of quantities document will be made available shortly.
