The brief

The Care Act 2014, places a duty on the Council to ‘establish and maintain a service for providing people in its area with information and advice relating to care and support for adults and support for carers’.

The provision of an online tool is one of the ways the London Borough of Camden meets this Care Act requirement.

The London Borough of Camden is looking for an online e-Marketplace that is co-produced with service users which will replace the existing Camden Care Choices portal.

The e-Marketplace will incorporate a self-assessment that will be developed by service users through co-production to offer the customer a seamless experience.

The aim of this is to give people an indication of whether they are eligible for care and support services from adult social care.

This should help people to self-service to alternative services away from ASC Access and Response.
