United Kingdom-Stornoway: Electricity distribution and related services

'The requirement is to enable the Comhairle to enter into an agreement with a UK licensed supplier to develop a durable, competitive electricity tariff which could be offered to the local community.

The Comhairle undertakes to collaborate with an appointed Private Sector Partner in the further development of their proposals to develop a Business Plan and Heads of Commercial Terms which would form the basis for a final agreement.

We anticipate this agreement will be in place by June 2015, by which time an Energy Supply Company should be fully incorporated as an independent entity.

It should be noted that the final contractual agreement will be between the Private Sector Partner and the Outer Hebrides Energy Supply Company.
