London's Violence Reduction Unit- Young People's Action Group Learning Partner

The London Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) would like to commission a Young People's Action Group-(YPAG) Learning Partner The VRU is seeking to commission an external provider to undertake a detailed evaluation of our YPAG model, looking specifically at: -The process of implementation of the YPAG model of youth participation -The impact of the model across three areas; The young people themselves, The VRU's work and decision-making and; Wider stakeholders and sectors to understand how YPAG has contributed to the violence reduction agenda. -Drawing together the learning to support the development of the existing YPAG framework for the VRU . -Highlighting key learning and enable the VRU to share this with the wider sector and organisations looking to develop similar models.
The Learning Partner will design and deliver a high-quality research project that: -Upskills Young People in peer research methods -Identifies successes and challenges of the VRU's Youth Participation programme -Creates outputs to share learning .
Given the unique nature of the YPAG, the VRU encourages the Learning Partner to use youth participatory approaches to upskill the YPAG and Wider Voices, and to co-design the evaluation model and learning outputs.
The VRU encourages the Learning Partner to use a range of innovative and creative evaluation methods with young people at the centre, such as case studies, multi-media content and written reports.
The Learning Partner will also need to work in close collaboration with the YPAG's parents/carers and the VRU's Youth & Communities team to develop and deliver a suitable evaluation model for this programme, including ensuring the monitoring plan will adequately support and inform evaluation.
The maximum budget for the evaluation is £100,000 over 24 months.
