The Authority’s Technology function provides the IT that enables the delivery of these welfare services to the UK citizen.
We have one of the largest, highest volume and most business critical IT operations in the UK.
Following a public procurement, the Authority entered into a contract for the provision of certain Desktop Services commencing in 2012 and for an initial term of 5 years (Contract).
This Contract was to deliver transition and transformation of the desktop estate through a full asset refresh (including supporting infrastructure in Data Centres), new and updated software and tailored end user services.
The services support over 100,000 users located at c980 sites.
The Contract provides the Authority with the right to undertake an annual audit and the Authority wishes to exercise this right to instigate an audit to: (1) establish the value of services paid for (if any) which have not been delivered to date, this includes the provision of underlying assets, software and other services within the contractual requirements and pricing mechanisms of the Contract; (2) establish the services which may not be delivered to the end of the initial contract term from the point of establishing services to date in accordance with the terms of the Contract; (3) confirm the charge for the services that are currently delivered in accordance with the Contract and volumes being consumed; and (4) perform a review of the Gain Share statements to ensure their accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice and in-line with the incumbent supplier’s own financial reporting.
