The brief

NHS Nene Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group wish to establish a number of qualified providers who can provide consistently high quality, person centered and flexible domiciliary care services to adults aged 18 and over who have been assessed as eligible to receive continuing healthcare.

The term 'Domiciliary Care' is being used to describe care and support services delivered to an individual in their own home or as an addendum to an existing residential based setting.

It includes 24 hour support and rehabilitation services in peoples own homes.

Domiciliary care will involve the provision of some or all of the following: • Assistance with personal, nursing or social care, which may be defined as undertaking any activity which requires a degree of personal and physical contact with the patient to assist them to undertake such functions such as dressing, washing, bathing or shaving, toileting, getting in or out of bed, eating, drinking, and communicating.

This is not an exhaustive list. • Domestic tasks including meal preparation, shopping and laundry, help with managing finances • Under specified and documented circumstances, assistance with medication • Carer support, including night sitting and night visiting • Specified clinical interventions • Specified interventions that may need to be provided by a qualified nurse The service will be procured through an Any Qualified Provider process which is scheduled to commence in early April 2018.

The commissioners would like to invite interested providers to a market place event to be held on 21st March 2018 from 1.00pm - 3.00pm at the following venue: Sunley Management Centre Boughton Green Road Northampton NN2 7AL The purpose of the event will be to outline the requirements of the new contract and to explain the procurement process.

Please confirm your attendance by emailing NELCSU.ProcurementNorthants@nhs.net by no later than 12 noon on Tuesday 20th March 2018.

Please note that the venue can only accommodate a maximum of two delegates per organisation.
