The aim of extra care housing is to provide housing to enable older people to improve or maintain their independence for as long as possible.

The underpinning ethos is to maintain and improve a person's ability to remain independent within their own property and where possible to provide a home for life.

Extra care in Hartlepool includes access to on site care and support services 24/7, 365 days per year to help to maintain independence.\r \r The contracts will commence 3 June 2023 for a term of 5 years with options to extend on a 12 month rolling basis until 2 June 2030, subject to satisfactory performance and current demand. \r \r Individuals wishing to register an interest and download the procurement documents, should apply via the ProContract e-tendering portal https://procontract.due-north.com\r \r All completed documentation for the first stage of this tender must be completed and returned via the ProContract e-tendering portal only and by no later than 2pm on Monday, 13th March 2023.
