The Authority is seeking to upgrade 3 (three) passenger lifts, 2 (two) at David Garrick Gardens in Lichfield and 1 (one) at 46 London Road in Gloucester.
The project includes provision of new equipment, modernisation and modification of the existing equipment including the design, manufacture, delivery, storage, installation, commissioning, final testing, removal and disposal of redundant equipment, all in accordance with the Contract Specification, code requirements and the Contract Documents.
Overview Successful Contractor will be required to incorporate the design requirements of the Specification into the equipment being supplied and the equipment being retained to ensure that the lift(s) will be capable of achieving the performance criteria specified in the Specification documents.
All equipment shall be designed and installed to withstand the duty anticipated and, on completion, enable the reliability and quality of service criteria specified.
At David Garrick Gardens the work involves the replacing the car and landing door panels and overhaul the landing equipment to operate as new, Health & Safety ancillary works and optional car interior works.
A3 uncontrolled movement to be introduced, if feasible the existing controller to be modified to allow compliance.
If this is not possible a new controller, rewire and switches to be introduced to suit the existing installation.
At 46 London Road the work involves the replacing the control system and shaft signalling system, replacement of the hydraulic power unit with new oil and hoses, a change of door operator and overhaul the landing equipment to operate as new, Health & Safety ancillary works, the replacement of the hydraulic ram seals and car interior works.
It will be necessary for the lifts to be returned to service on a daily basis with the exception of one 2 day period for change over.
All works shall be completed by no later than 31st March 2018.
