The brief

1.1 SECCADS is a comprehensive business support programme tailored to meet the needs of the Creative, Cultural and Digital Sector in the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) area.

1.2 It is a £5.16m programme part-funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and will run until December 2020.

It includes a number of different strands including: • Engagement, initial diagnostics, on-going client management and signposting to support carried out by a network of local co-ordinators. • Specialist advice services provided by a range of business support organisations in different localities across the South East LEP area. • A business support grants programme. • A workshops and mentoring programme.

1.3 Thurrock Borough Council is the Accountable Body for the programme as a whole and works with a range of delivery partners across the South East Local Enterprise Partnership area to oversee implementation.

The Council is accountable for the financial performance and compliant delivery of all strands of the programme.

Thurrock Council employs the team responsible for implementation of the programme.
