The brief

NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) are working on behalf of NHS Greater Preston CCG (GPCCG) with Chorley and South Ribble (CSRCCG) who are seeking to commission a Community Skin Service to manage conditions that do not require specialist intervention at secondary care level.

The Service will provide local, community-based access for patients of all ages who are referred by their GP or healthcare professional.

Patients must be registered with a GP practice in Greater Preston CCG or Chorley & South Ribble CCG.

The Service will provide patients with timely access to diagnostics and treatment, providing a 'one-stop' service where possible and appropriate, and onward referral where necessary.

This will enable improved patient flow through primary, community and secondary care skin services and support the management of increasing demand for secondary care services.

The Service aims to provide both dermatological services and also some minor surgical procedures, which will exclude those procedures performed in primary care, but will include minor plastic surgery procedures.

The Commissioning team are undertaking a soft market testing Expression of Interest (EoI) process, prior to commencing a tender process.

The purpose of the EoI process is: • To stimulate interest in the opportunity from potential Suppliers and inform how the CCGs will proceed. • To ascertain if potential Suppliers can mobilise the service by 18/7/2018 • To understand potential Suppliers relevant experience, as well as evidence of capacity and capability to deliver a service similar to the scope of this requirement.

Potential Suppliers are invited to express interest in the opportunity and provide feedback utilising the attached EoI.

Please review the attached documentation and contact the named representative detailed in section 4 (Contact) of this notice, if you wish to express interest in the opportunity.

The CCGs are looking to award the service to a single Supplier.
