Research on feasibility by eddy current inspection of aluminium tanker welds
The Department for Transport Dangerous Goods Division (DGD) intends to let a contract for research into the development of a sub-surface technique for the inspection of aluminium welds of petroleum road fuel tankers.
It is anticipated that the outputs from this research will underpin UK guidance, technical codes and/or proposals for test procedures to be included in the relevant standards and/or regulations.
