The House of Commons is seeking a supplier to establish and run a Citizens' Assembly on the topic of combatting climate change.
The findings of the Citizens' Assembly are intended to provide an evidence base of informed public views on the range of different policy and consumer choices outlined in the recent report by the Committee on Climate Change (an independent statutory body) on achieving the target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Exploring views on the fair sharing of potential costs of different policy choices will be a valuable input to future select committee activity and, more broadly, inform political debate and Government policy making.
