The brief

Expression of Interest to be considered for tender list - Based on the Chesterfield Royal Hospital site, the Hartington Unit is one of the Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's main inpatient service for residents with acute mental health needs.

The Hartington Unit consists of three adult acute inpatient wards and works are to be carried out in each ward.

The works comprise a)upgrading of existing assisted bathrooms b) the creation of a new assisted bathroom and c) alterations to create a bariatric bedroom with en suite facilities The wards and Unit will remain fully operational 24/7 during the works programme and tenderers will have to provide evidence of experience of working in a mental health hospital.

Working hours may be limited to between the hours of 9.00am - 5.00pm.

No lone working of any type will be allowed.

All works must be completed before 31 March 2019 and the successful contractor must submit a programme for approval.

The Trust's Capital Team has a list of preferred suppliers who are experienced/specialists in the mental health environment and these suppliers will be named for doors, vision panels, sanitaryware and building services including alterations to the staff attack alarm system and fire alarm system works.
