Home Office Supplier Engagement - Market Engagement Generic Identity Verification Service (GIDV) Service Re-procurement The Home Office is preparing to reprocure its General Identity Verification Solution (GIDV), a critical service supporting passport chip verification and facial matching for individuals requiring identity verification for UK entry or residency.

The new tender is expected to be launched in 2026.

To ensure the future procurement is well-informed and attractive to the market, we are conducting early market engagement and inviting suppliers to participate in a Webinar and complete a Request for Information (RFI) questionnaire.

This is an opportunity for suppliers with relevant capabilities in biometric identity verification, facial recognition, chip reading, liveness detection, and secure integration with government systems to help shape the future of this essential service.

Download and complete the RFI questionnaire post Webinar, which includes questions on your organisation's capabilities, financials, technology readiness, and service delivery models.

Submit your completed RFI response via the JAGGAER eSourcing portal.

The RFI will help the Home Office understand market capabilities, assess supplier interest, and refine the procurement strategy.

Your input will be instrumental in shaping the requirements and ensuring the competition is accessible and commercially viable Procurement Overview - Estimated Contract Value: Up to £125 million - Expected Contract Term: 5 years + 1 year + 1 year - Route to Market: Competitive Flexible Procedure - Fingerprint self-enrolment may be explored via pilot or proof-of-concept during the contract term.
