The brief

Thurrock Council wishes to commission and redesign existing services to create a new Integrated Healthy Families Service in Thurrock as part of the Integrated 0-19 Wellbeing model.

The new model will move beyond traditional service delivery and provide a more focussed and targeted approach to improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people.

By promoting early intervention there is also aspiration to reduce further demand on children’s social care and tackle some of the key determinants of inter-generational deprivation, such as educational under-attainment.

The 0-19 Model will be implemented through a mixture of in-house delivery (Children’s Centres) and commissioning external provider organisations (Healthy Families and Early Offer of Help).

The Healthy Families Service will bring together a range of “health” support services for children and young people, including health visiting, school nursing, specialist support for young parents and those needing help with breastfeeding, weight management services and prevention/management of smoking and other risky behaviours.

Thurrock Council will host an event for existing and potential providers to meet with Thurrock Council commissioners and Procurement to find out more about the new service, model of delivery and selection process.

For more details on the event and to register attendance please go to: https://www.delta-esourcing.com/respond/8GB6RZWZ98 Please note interested parties must register attendance by 5pm on 29th November 2016
