SSE wish to prequalify a supply base for the tender of an appropriate Asset Management Software Solution for their virtual and physical Telecommunication network.

It has been recognised within SSE Networks that Management tools designed specifically for managing its Operational telecommunications network infrastructure and services would provide significant benefits to the efficient and effective operation of the planned Operational Technology Network.

An initial on-premise dedicated Asset Inventory Management tool is required to support the physical and logical network inventory, including both inside and outside plant.

An asset inventory & communications management system is required that encompasses the following:- Security preference for an On-Premise Asset Inventory & Communications Management System.

Physical infrastructure elements consisting of fibre, copper, and communications duct infrastructure.

Third Party service elements consisting of bearers/interconnects and circuits.

Hardware infrastructure elements consisting of routers, switches, multiplexers, and microwave radio.

To maintain consistency of data across SSEN, it is proposed that any new management system/s will utilise the existing data sources of Maximo and Electric Office as the root source of asset information.
