Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority (MWDA) has an obligation to prepare statutory statements of accounts in accordance with the standards set out in CIPFA's Codes of Practice on Local Authority accounting as well as applicable regulations and statutory guidance (such as The Local Authorities (Capital Finance and Accounting) (England) Regulations 2003).
The Authority has prepared draft statements of accounts for the period 2018-19 to 2020-21.
The external audit of the draft statements has not been concluded and the auditor has issued a statutory recommendation that the Authority seek additional CIPFA qualified support to enable the audits to be concluded.
Upon appointment, MWDA shall provide copies of the most recent draft Statements of accounts provided for, and upon request any working papers already prepared to support those statements.
Interested parties should review the documents available on Contracts Finder and return their tenders in accordance with the Instructions for Tendering by 12.00 noon on Thursday 2nd June 2022.
Any amendments to the documentation during the tender period will be posted on the Authority's website at www.merseysidewda.gov.uk.
