The brief

The Authority is seeking an experienced provider for the provision of Servicing, Maintenance and repair of Refrigeration, Cooling Plant and Air Conditioning Maintenance Contract.

The Authority is in possession of a wide variety of refrigeration plant and associated equipment.

This contract aims to consolidate the servicing, maintenance and repair of Refrigeration, Cooling Plant and Air Conditioning for these systems and their associated equipment.

This contract is for the Servicing, Maintenance and repair of Refrigeration, Cooling Plant and Air Conditioning at Dewsbury District Hospital, Pontefract General Infirmary and Pinderfields Hospital and other healthcare sites within these areas.

The contract will be administered by The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust (The Authority).

The aim of the contract is to ensure that all systems are serviced and maintained to a high standard within a demanding healthcare environment.

The Contractor is to provide a planned maintenance service incorporated into one but possibly two scheduled visits per year depending on the item of equipment and a 24 hour 365 days a year call out in response to repair calls.

The contractor shall attend site within 2 hours of a call out.

The plant is to be serviced to the appropriate industry guidance and manufacturer recommendations with one major service per calendar year on both the internal and external units.

The planned contract is for a period of 3 years with an option for the Trust to extend the contract for a further 2 x 12 months.
