The brief

FORMAL EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST INVITED PRIOR TO THE RUNNING OF A CLOSED TENDER: The University will invest in new teaching and quiet study space with a new 2,600m2 extension.

The new four floor extension on the west wing south elevation (Library Avenue) will provide flexible space for teaching, informal study and student's societies on the lower ground floor.

The other three floors will be additional library space with a mix of quiet study space and meeting rooms.

The project must attain a BREEAM rating of Very Good and an EPC Grade B rating.

The University seeks to appoint a Contractor for these works to fulfil both Principal Contractor and Principal Designer responsibilities under the CDM regulations 2015.

The location of the site is Bailrigg Campus, Lancaster, LA1 4YW.

The University is now inviting formally structured expressions of interest in the project, before running a closed tender.
