***Please note this is no longer a contract opportunity and the contract has been awarded in line with the PSR*** The London Borough of Enfield (the contracting authority) is the northern most London borough with a population of some 330,000 of whom approximately 40,000 smoke.
As part of its ongoing work to improve the health of the population the contracting authority is inviting offers to appoint a Stop Smoking Service (SSS) provider for its first-generation contract.
The provider will be expected to provide a borough-wide service which will include targeting high smoking prevalence communities including by ethnicity and those with Serious Mental Illnesses (SMI).
The service will be expected to comply with existing good practice as outlined by such as the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training.
This opportunity will be undertaken using the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, via the Competitive Process.
The duration of the service commencement of the contract will be just over 4 years (January 2025 - 31st March 2029) with a contract commencement date of December 2024.
The contracting authority reserves the absolute right to extend this contract a further 12-month period, however this is subject to further funding availability, contractor performance and at the full discretion of the contracting authority, and subject to a lawful termination in accordance with the provisions of the Terms and Conditions of the Contract.
