The Authority wishes to award a contract for the Provision of Background Support at Esk Moors Lodge Extra Care Scheme, ("the Contract").

The overall aim of the service is to provide appropriate levels of care and support to the tenants living at the scheme to help them retain and manage their health, independence and well-being.

The service must ensure that on-site care and support is available to tenants living at the scheme 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays and weekends.

The core round the clock service is 168 hours per week (the equivalent of 1 person available 24/7).

The service provider must ensure that sufficient staff are available on site at all times to provide those tenants choosing to purchase services from the provider with appropriate personal care, practical, emotional and social support in accordance with their eligible assessed care needs.
