Staffordshire Moorlands District Council are looking to appoint an experienced Architect led Multi Discipline Team (ALDT) to undertake the following roles for redevelopment/ refurbishment of the Nicholson Institute Building located on Stockwell Street in Leek: - Lead Designer/ Architect; - Mechanical and Electrical Engineer; - CDM Principal Designer; - Access Consultant; - Interpretive Designer; - Contract Administrator.
This project forms part of a wider funding bid/ application by the Council into the Levelling Up Fund that will bring the lower ground floor of the Nicholson Institute back into use as a flexible space that will be used by Buxton and Leek College and the regional Registrar service together with the reinvigoration of the ground and first floors as a hub for the museum, gallery and library services.
The outcome of the bid is expected to be announced at the end of 2022.
