NHS Greater Huddersfield CCG acting on behalf of Greater Huddersfield, North Kirklees, Calderdale, Wakefield and Leeds CCGs is seeking to commission a 24 hour, 365 days/year Mental Health helpline service from 1st January 2020.
The helpline will provide an important role in supporting individuals who are at risk of developing mental health problems, those individuals with diagnosed common mental health problems, those individuals known to mental health services experiencing mental health distress and/or those seeking information, advice and support.
The Helpline Service will enable individuals to receive advice, information and guidance, they will respond to urgent concerns and will operate within a recovery model ensuring callers' benefit from an effective intervention.
The service will complement the total provision of mental health services, within the identified geographic areas, working in collaboration with key partners and integrated within service pathways.
Requirement The fully inclusive service is expected to consist of at least the following components: • 24 hour mental health telephone helpline • A database of relevant information/support service within the 5 CCG areas. • Integrated service pathways within the 5 CCG areas • Continuous improvement • Workforce training and development • BI/Data analysis • Template data reports • Promotion and marketing • Geographical standardisation and implementation • Service mobilisation support Expected Contract Length and financial envelope The contract length is expected to be from 1st January 2020 - 31st March 2022, with an indicative contract value of £440k.
Process The CCG invite interested suppliers to submit an expression of interest, and are advising that it will undertake a 'short-listing process' to identify providers that are subsequently invited to submit a bid to provide the service.
