The brief

Southwark Works is the council's longstanding employment support programme and is formed of a network of providers who offer a range of tailored employment support based on underlying needs, such as mental health, homelessness or disability.

This model aims to ensure there is expertise available locally to deal with the range of issues that affect residents' ability to gain and sustain employment whilst also providing a recruitment service for local employers via a 4-year framework agreement that is split into 10 lots.

Lot No: 1 - Vulnerable young people including Care Leavers Lot No: 2 - Long term unemployed/older people/health conditions/carers Lot No: 3 - Mental Health Lot No: 4 - Learning difficulties and disabilities including autism Lot No: 5 - Families/Lone parents Lot No: 6 - Offenders Lot No: 7 - Substance use Lot No: 8 - Homelessness Lot No: 9 - Pre-apprenticeship support Lot No: 10 - Sectors The Contracting Authority envisages that this framework will be for use by the Contracting Authority and will be open to other local authorities.

The estimates shown at for the spend under the contract include £7.8m for the contracting authority and an equivalent amount available for all other authorities.

The estimated date for publication of the Contract Notice is 9th November 2018.

The Contracting Authority intends to hold two meet the buyer events for interested parties in November 2018.
