Brief Description of Requirement This project will develop a robust evidence base on costs and benefits of rooftop solar for households and small businesses, and what this implies for routes to supporting low-cost financing for installations.

This is in the context of the British Energy Security Strategy (BESS) commitment to facilitate 'low-cost finance from retail lenders to drive rooftop [PV] deployment'.

The project will help provide the numerical evidence base to inform decisions and formal economic appraisal on how policy intervention could support more affordable financing for rooftop PV.
