DFRA 181 GLOSSOP FIRE STATION NEW BUILD PQQ

Description of the works: - Demolition of existing fire station and associated tower and outbuildings.

Construction of a new 2-storey station building with attached 2 double bay vehicle garage with a total floor area of approximately 900m², ancillary smoke training building and garage, associated external works and car parking.

Bidders should note that during the contract the fire crews will have to remain on site in temporary accommodation both for the crews and garaging for the appliances.

The temporary appliance garaging is to be arranged by the Contractor on the basis of a specification to be detailed within the Employers Requirements as the first phase of the project.

The project will require to be suitably phased to allow the construction works to be sequenced to allow the build to be progressed whilst safe access and egress to the temporary accommodation for fire crews and appliances is maintained.

Extent of design to be carried out by contractor:- from and including RIBA Stage 4 (part), Stage 1 to 4 (part) including concept design and planning consent have been carried out by a Design Consultant appointed by the employer; for post tender services this Design Consultant will be novated to the successful contractor.
