Bracknell Forest Borough Council (BFBC) is pleased to announce that it is inviting tenders for the provision of a Carers Support Service for carers who care for someone living within Bracknell Forest.
The aim of the service is to support informal carers in accordance with the requirements of the Care Act 2014, providing information, advice and support for young carers approaching adulthood, adult carers of all ages and parent carers of children approaching adulthood.
The key activities of the service are to: • Provision of advice, information and guidance • Facilitation of a peer support network • Support at times of crisis and when a caring role ends • Identification of unknown and easy to ignore carers • Provision (or facilitation) of training to help carers The service is for an initial two year (2 years) contract, held with BFBC, with the opportunity of two extension periods of up to one year each (total 2+1+1), subject to satisfactory performance, funding availability and mutual agreement of the parties.
The service contract is expected to commence on the 1st July 2020.
The annual budget is £80,000; the total budget across the full contract term (including extensions) is £320,000.
Tenders must be completed electronically and submitted via the South East Business Portal.
The Council reserves the right not to accept any tender submitted.
