PU-20-0218 - Development of Methods for Education Quality
The ONS is intending to recruit academic and/or private sector economists and statisticians to deliver research on the development of methods to estimate education quality.The aim of the project is to identify data sources and develop methods to measure the quality of education services.
This will contribute to improved measures of education output and productivity for use in ONS' public service productivity estimates.
This project will includes a review of the available data sources, assessment of their suitability, and estimates of quality using the recommended method.
Effort should be made that the measures reflect the UK as a whole, and not only England.
Thought should also be given to measures at the level of local authority.
It is estimated that the work should take no more than 30 days between February 2020 and June 2020.
Delivery of an interim report must be made by 31st March 2020.
Delivery of the final report must be achieved by 30th June 2020.
We anticipate that the tender will be published mid-January with a proposal return deadline of end of January, ONS are looking to enter into a contract with a supplier in February.
These dates are provisional and subject to change.
